Tenure Track Faculty Position Available. Position Description: The Public Policy Institute (www.politicaspublicas.udp.cl) at the School of Business and Economics at the Universidad Diego Portales invites applications for an open rank, full-time, tenure track, faculty position to begin on August 1, 2014. Screening of applications will begin immediately and will remain open until the position is filled.
Applicants should have the ability to conduct research using advanced quantitative methods and to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting. The ideal candidate will either have earned a Ph.D. in Economics or Public Policy, or have a Ph.D. in Political Science or Sociology. Priority will be given to candidates whose research and teaching skills complement one or more of the following priority areas: political economy, innovation policies, or social policies (including aging, health, work, and retirement).
Candidates should be prepared to teach relevant courses both at the graduate and undergraduate level within the Public Policy Institute and the School of Business and Economics. Candidates will be selected based on academic merits and the strengths of their research agenda. Since candidates will also be expected to fully participate in the Public Policy Institute´s activities and institutional development, academic engagement with the public policy debate at the national or international level will be highly valued.
